A virtual company where engineering students get industry experience.
IndusMinds is a virtual company platform that bridges Indian engineering students and industry. Students take on a real role inside a simulated company and do internship-style project work alongside an AI-native team: teammates who guide them through the work and reviewers who critique it the way a real engineering team would.
Why we exist
Most engineering students graduate with theory but little practical exposure to how work actually gets done in a company: understanding a business problem, making and defending technical decisions, and responding to feedback from a team. Internships that teach this are scarce, and entry-level roles increasingly expect it. IndusMinds gives every student that experience, and the proof of it, before their first job.
How it works
- Join a virtual company in a real role. Each company comes with a business context, a project and daily tasks.
- Work with an AI-native team. A product manager, a tech lead and a domain specialist answer questions as you work. They are AI personas, not real people, and they help you think instead of doing the work for you.
- Get reviewed like a professional. Every submission is scored by all three reviewers across six dimensions, with specific feedback grounded in what you actually wrote.
- Show your proof of work. Your reviews build a Readiness Report that you can share with recruiters through a private link.
Where we are today
IndusMinds is in public beta. Our first virtual company is FinLab, a fictional fintech, and its first project is PayShield: a machine-learning fraud detection system built on a real public dataset, delivered as a 7-day starter sprint. More companies, domains and longer internships are in development.
